HP is currently offering the latest Intel-powered OmniBook 3 for just $469.99. It has a 16-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1200, up to 300 nits of brightness, and 62.5% sRGB coverage. There's also a 1080p webcam, although it unfortunately isn't paired with an IR sensor.
Inside is an Intel Core 5 315 processor (6x P-cores, 4x LP E-cores) joined by 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD occupying the sole M.2 2280 slot.
Connectivity includes a pair of 10 Gbps USB-C (Power Delivery 3.1, DisplayPort 1.4), two 5 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. In addition, there's support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The laptop measures 14.12 × 9.91 × 0.58 inches (359 × 252 × 14.7 mm) and tips the scales at 3.61 lb (1.64 kg), while housing a 41 Wh battery that can charge at up to 65 W with the included USB-C GaN power adapter.
The OmniBook 3 has a user rating of 4.3/5, with many reviews praising the battery life. On the other hand, the biggest drawback seems to be limited color coverage of the display.
