Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade hits Xbox Game Pass on October 29 for Ultimate, Premium and PC members, with the Yuffie episode included. Here is what to know.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is heading to Xbox Game Pass on October 29, 2026. Microsoft confirmed the addition in its October 20 Xbox Wire update, listing the game for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers can play it at no extra cost.

What is included

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade retells the original story up to the escape from Midgar, following ex-SOLDIER mercenary Cloud Strife as he joins Tifa, Barret, and Aerith in a fight against the Shinra Electric Power Company. It also bundles FF7R Episode Intermission, a side story that runs in parallel to the main events. Players control Wutaian ninja Yuffie Kisaragi as she infiltrates Midgar to steal Shinra’s ultimate materia. The package adds the Carbuncle, Chocobo Chick, and Cactuar summon materia, plus the Cacstar weapon, which works only in the Yuffie episode. It is the first game in the Remake project, so Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is not part of the deal.

Performance and combat

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade has been on Xbox Series X|S since January 22, 2026, so this is a Game Pass debut rather than a launch. On Series X, Digital Foundry found the same two modes as PS5: a Graphics Mode at native 4K and 30 FPS and a Performance Mode at around 1512p and 60 FPS. The Series S runs at a lower resolution but keeps both frame-rate targets. Combat blends real-time action with the command-based Active Time Battle system, where players pause to cast Materia spells and trigger Limit Breaks and synergy attacks.

Access and storage

Game Pass Premium members get access alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, while Game Pass Essential is not listed. The game also supports Xbox Play Anywhere for players who buy it outright, and it can be streamed through Xbox Cloud Gaming. On PC, it requires Windows 10 64-bit, DirectX 12 and 100 GB of free storage. Minimum specs: 8 GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 480 or GeForce GTX 780. The recommended specs list 12 GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 5700 or GeForce GTX 1080. The Game Pass deal covers Xbox and PC only, although the game is sold separately on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

While Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming to Game Pass, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 shall be skipping the service.
