Resident Evil Requiem DLC info accidentally leaked by writer

Resident Evil Requiem has been quite successful for Capcom, but it’s been almost eight months since it launched. Fans have been asking for a DLC, and while the studio has delivered some cosmetic stuff, a story DLC is still pending. It was believed that Capcom is prioritizing other projects, but it now looks like a mainline DLC is on the way.

During the Distance NERDing Podcast, Resident Evil Requiem writer Haris Orkin accidentally shared some information about an upcoming DLC (via Idle Sloth).

We have an arc for Spencer in Requiem. They kind of you understand that more, and in the DLC for Requiem, you will understand it even further. So yeah! I probably shouldn’t say that, but yeah.

He seemed to have realized that it’s not something he should be talking about, but the cat’s out of the bag now. The DLC will focus on Oswell E. Spencer (Earl Spencer), who was one of the founders of Umbrella Corporation and also the man who adopted Grace after she was orphaned.

For now, Capcom has not commented on the DLC, so it is unclear when it will be released or what stage of development it is currently in. Moreover, the studio had said previously that they are focusing on Resident Evil Veronica, the remake of Code Veronica, which is set to release next year.
