Lenovo releases new ThinkStation desktop internationally with up to 256 GB RAM and 48 GB VRAM
Lenovo has finally released the ThinkStation P4, a 29.9-litre tower that it unveiled in May. Launched alongside the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7, ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 and ThinkPad L16 Gen 3, the ThinkStation P4 was said to be arriving in June. While that did not come to pass for the most part, Lenovo has now started selling its AMD PRO 675-based desktop internationally.
For the time being, Lenovo merely lists the ThinkStation P4 as 'coming soon' in Europe. By contrast, pricing starts at AUD 2,349, CAD 2,569, HKD 16,989, KRW 2,849,027, MYR 7,443 and SGD 2,723 (~2,128) in Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, respectively, for a Ryzen 5 PRO 9655 with 8 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 256 GB M.2 2280 SSD. Meanwhile, Japan has received a similar configuration but with 16 GB of RAM for JPY 304,007 (~$1,908).
In comparison, the ThinkStation P4 (AMD) starts at $1,849 in the US with the same configuration, except in Japan. Alternatively, Lenovo offers its new desktop with the Ryzen 7 PRO 9745, Ryzen 7 PRO 9755, Ryzen 9 PRO 9955, the Ryzen 7 PRO 9755X3D, the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965 or the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D, the latter of which AMD launched in May.
Additionally, these processors can be complemented with a range of discrete graphics up to and including the Nvidia RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell 48GB (curr. $8,425 on Amazon). Unfortunately, the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell promised at launch has seemingly been dropped. Likewise, the 72 GB version of the RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell will not officially arrive until the end of September 2026 at the latest.
Setting that aside, the ThinkStation P4 (AMD) can also be configured with up to 256 GB of RAM and 33 TB of storage split across three M.2 drives and a dual 3.5-inch HDDs. On top of that, Lenovo sells a 1,100 W Power Supply, what it describes as 'Advanced Liquid Cooling', dual 10 Gbit LAN and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, among other configuration options.
