New 13-inch ThinkPad receives wider international release with Intel Panther Lake and over 30 hours battery life

Lenovo has quietly expanded the availability of one of its latest 13-inch laptops to more markets. For context, the company announced the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 in May 2026 with current-generation AMD and Intel processors. Replacing the Gen 6 model we reviewed in 2025 (curr. $1,729 on Amazon), the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 managed to stay under 1 kg even with more powerful processors.
Previously, the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 (Intel) was exclusive to the Eurozone and North America. However, Lenovo has now started selling Intel models in Australia, East Asia and Southeast Asia, as well as in the UK. To recap, the Gen 7 model weighs 930 g when configured with a 41 Wh battery. Alternatively, the 13-inch laptop can benefit from a 33% larger battery (54.7 Wh) for a 3.6% weight increase to 964 g.
Reportedly, the latter of the two lasts 29.7 hours in the JEITA-BAT 3.0 test at 200 nits and 30.1 hours when playing local videos at 150 nits. In most markets, the Gen 7 starts with the Core Ultra 5 325 and can be configured up to the Core Ultra 7 356H. The UK has only received the Core Ultra 7 355 and Core Ultra 7 365 vPro, though.
Likewise, 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM remains the limit in most markets, despite Lenovo mentioning 64 GB RAM SKUs on its PSREF website. Lenovo limits the Gen 7 to a single M.2 2280 slot too, as well as a choice between non-touch and multi-touch IPS displays that resolve at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels with 400 nits peak brightness, 100% sRGB colour space coverage, a 60 Hz refresh rate and an anti-glare finish.
Moreover, Lenovo sells a choice of 4G (Cat 6) and 5G (Cat 19) modems for those who need cellular connectivity. ThinkPad X1e Gen 7 (Intel) pricing starts at £2,199 in the UK with a Core Ultra 7 355 and 16 GB of RAM, allegedly discounted from a £2,755 MSRP. Meanwhile, the 13-inch laptop costs at least AUD 2,186, HKD 13,888, MYR 7,902 and SGD 2,735 (~$2,130) in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, respectively.
