Lenovo launches new 14-inch laptop globally with 1,100-nit OLED, Intel Arc B390 graphics and over 21 hours battery life
Lenovo's unusual laptop with a motorised display hinge has taken a step closer to being released. For context, Lenovo presented the laptop in September 2024 during IFA 2024 as the ThinkBook Auto Twist. A concept at that stage, the device reappeared in January 2026 at CES 2026 with a new name and a June 2026 release date.
Currently, Lenovo has not released the ThinkBook Plus G7 Auto Twist in any capacity. However, the company has finally confirmed that the 14-inch laptop will receive a global release. Specifically, its PSREF website now shows regional variants for Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America, having initially listed the laptop in July.
Moreover, Lenovo has revealed that the ThinkBook Plus G7 Auto Twist will be available with the Core Ultra 5 325 or Core Ultra X7 358H and up to 32 GB of RAM. The laptop contains an M.2 2280 slot too, although Lenovo will only include M.2 2242 SSDs from the factory. As expected, the ThinkBook Plus G7 Auto Twist also contains a 75 Wh battery, which Lenovo claims lasts over 21 hours in the JEITA-BAT 3.0 test.
Furthermore, the laptop will be sold exclusively with a 14-inch OLED display. Resolving at 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, the panel delivers 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage with a 30-120 Hz variable refresh rate. On top of that, the display outputs at 500 nits in SDR mode but 1,100 nits when viewing HDR content.
Unfortunately, Lenovo has not confirmed when it will actually begin selling the ThinkBook Plus G7 Auto Twist. In the meantime, the company has released the ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 with a 14-inch display (curr. $1,109 on Amazon), which we reviewed earlier this year.
