Lenovo releases new 14-inch ThinkPad internationally with cellular connectivity and up to 64 GB RAM

The ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 is now available internationally with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors. Currently, the 14-inch laptop has reached Australia, East Asia, Southeast Asia and parts of Europe. However, Lenovo is yet to start selling it in North America or some European countries like France or Germany, despite Lenovo suggesting a May 2026 release would occur only a few weeks ago.
Initially, Lenovo claimed that the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 would start for around €1,500 to replace the Gen 6 model that we reviewed in January. While the latter contained much faster processors than its predecessor (curr. $699 on Amazon), the ThinkPad L16 still features AMD Zen 5 processors for its seventh generation model. Unfortunately, the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 is significantly more expensive than Lenovo had claimed, just like the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 before it.
For the time being, pricing starts at €2,222 in Ireland and £1,905 in the UK. In part, that is because the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 starts with a Ryzen AI 7 445, 512 GB storage and 32 GB of RAM in Ireland and the UK. By contrast, Lenovo sells the same laptop with the Ryzen AI 5 430, 256 GB storage and 16 GB SSD in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Moreover, one can only configure the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 with more expensive components in Europe, too. At the time of writing, the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450 is the only other processor in Europe, which Lenovo has priced at €2,374 and £2,035. Meanwhile, the laptop costs AUD 1,929, HKD 8,974 and SGD 1,738. Over 20% discounts in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Setting that aside, the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 can be configured with up to 64 GB DDR5-5600 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD in all markets. On top of that, Lenovo sells a Snapdragon X12 4G modem, a fingerprint reader and a 57 Wh battery instead of its 46.5 Wh default. Only 1200p, 60 Hz, 400-nit and 45% NTSC displays are available, though. Intel models should be launching globally later in 2026.
