Moza has expanded its range of sim racing accessories and showcased the new hardware at Gamescom. There are two new wheelbases and three new steering wheels, and the company has also partnered with Mercedes-Benz and MotoGP for more licensed collaborations. The two wheelbases are the most advanced direct drive bases from Moza boasting professional grade force feedback.
Moza R21 Ultra and R25 Ultra True Torque DD bases
The main difference between the two wheelbases is that the R21 Ultra, as the name suggests, has 21 Nm of torque that is delivered through a zero-cogging flat-wire motor. On the other hand, the R25 Ultra True Torque is capable of 25 Nm of torque and has a built-in torque sensor. This allows the R25 wheelbase to deliver sampling accuracy of 0.1% and a response frequency of up to 2 kHz, which translates to a more precise capturing of the driver input.
Both the wheelbases come with a 21-bit magnetic encoder that process all the inputs, ensuring what’s on the road in game is what you feel as the driver. They also have customizable RGB light strips along the top corners and the housing is made from CNC aluminum. A wide range of sim rigs are compatible with the two wheelbases that come with the company’s quick release steering wheel mounting system.
Moza Porsche Sim Racing Steering Wheel, Porsche Mission R, and Lamborghini Revuelto replica wheels
Along with the two wheelbases, Moza has also announced the officially licensed and inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Porsche Sim Racing Steering Wheel. It comes with a 2.99-inch high-definition display and an expandable six-paddle layout. The carbon fiber-reinforced construction makes it lightweight and durable. There are Hall effect magnetic forged carbon paddle shifters at the back.
The Porsche Mission R and Lamborghini Revuelto replica wheels are just that, replicas, but with customizable buttons and quick release compatibility with Moza wheelbases. They are also part of the open ecosystem which means they can work with third party wheelbases, given the right adapter.
Pricing and availability
The R21 Ultra is priced at $699 while the R25 Ultra True Torque is priced at $899. The pricing for the steering wheels has not been disclosed yet and neither has the availability for any of the new gear.
