Forza Horizon could finally feature tracks in the land of the rising sun. A developer visited an import dealership to model a scarce Japanese car. Earlier, the Microsoft Gaming CEO indicated that Forza Horizon 6 could arrive as early as 2026.
While Forza Horizon 6 hasn’t been officially confirmed, Phil Spencer hinted that a new Forza racing game would debut in 2026. Coinciding with Xbox's 25th anniversary, fans have speculated that FH6 is a likely candidate.
Detailed by AR12Gaming, gamers discovered that a developer may be scanning cars for a future release. Also, given that a rare JDM car is the target, rumors that the Forza Horizon 6 location is Japan are more credible.
The leak spread after Cult and Classic posted and deleted an Instagram post. Based in Australia, the shop imports, certifies, and resells rare cars from around the world. Their Japanese vehicles are often sought after, which was the focus of Cody from the Forza Horizon development team. When companies create racing titles, they often visit similar dealerships to scan and model cars not widely available.

In the photo, AR12Gaming identifies the Kei car as the 2020 Suzuki Every PZ Turbo Special. The JDM car is an unlikely candidate to roam the British streets where Playground Games is based. Some gamers might suspect another DLC is in the works for Forza Horizon 5. However, Cult and Classic explained that the developer is “shooting cars for the next installation in the series”.
The Gran Turismo series is often associated with a deep understanding of Japanese car culture. Still, it hardly has a monopoly on racing games with cars or tracks from the country. After exploring other parts of the globe, many players believe Japan is the logical Forza Horizon 6 location. With Forza Horizon 5 now on the PS5, drivers on multiple consoles may be able to access upcoming additions to both franchises.
There have been other Forza Horizon leaks, involving job postings and map concepts that reference Japan. Perhaps what’s less certain is the timing for the Forza Horizon 6 release date. Playground Games survived recent Microsoft job cuts, but is also working on a new Fable game. Nevertheless, the activity at Cult and Classic suggests that the developer is juggling multiple projects.
