Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) have published another Gran Turismo 7 gameplay video on the Gran Turismo TV YouTube channel. The video, embedded below, shows Deep Forest Raceway, which initially appeared in the original Gran Turismo. Every Gran Turismo game has featured Deep Forest Raceway too, bar Gran Turismo Sport.
Supposedly, Polyphony and SIE captured the footage using a PlayStation 5 console, although they provide no way of verifying this. Undoubtedly, playing the game natively at 4K will look better than watching the YouTube video in 4K. However, it appears that the game suffers from some pop-in and relies on cloned trees.
Gran Turismo 7 launches on March 4 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game contains over 420 cars at launch, along with more than 90 tracks. Each track supports dynamic weather conditions, while the game itself takes advantage of ray tracing when played on a PlayStation 5. Sony is targetting 4K, 60 FPS and HDR on the PlayStation 5 version too, among other platform-unique features.
