Microsoft has confirmed that a new Forza racing game, likely Forza Horizon 6, will arrive in 2026. There have been quite a few leaks and rumors suggesting the game will be announced at Tokyo Game Show but it’s still going to be a few months before it reaches the public. Meanwhile, Microsoft has put Forza Horizon 5 on sale for half its typical price and that’s across all editions.
To avail the deal, head to the Microsoft Store as that’s the only place Forza Horizon 5 has been discounted. The Standard Edition is listed at $30, the Deluxe Edition at $40, and the Premium Edition at $50. This is a 50% discount from the typical pricing of the game that came out in November of 2021. Of course, if you have Game Pass, Forza Horizon 5 is already available to you. The sale will end on September 29.
Microsoft will host its own event during Tokyo Game Show on September 25. Then, on September 27, an Xbox title will have an hour-long showcase, and this is expected to be Forza Horizon 6. The game will likely have a Japan setting, which is going to be much different from Forza Horizon 5’s fictionalized Mexico setting.
While Microsoft has not confirmed the existence of Forza Horizon 6 or if it will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show, a report from last month cited internal documents discussing an appearance at the event. Furthermore, photos of a Forza developer scanning a rare Japanese Kei car were leaked in the same month.
