The Shuttle XPC Slim DH810 is a fresh new mini PC targeted primarily at industrial use. With a footprint of 190 x 165 mm, the system is not quite as compact as other offerings from competing brands, but the inclusion of desktop-class processors and dual-fan cooling sure does make the system quite an appealing choice.
Powered by Intel Core Ultra 200 "Arrow Lake-S" CPUs, featuring up to 24 cores in the high-end Core Ultra 9 SKUs (no overclocking support). However, only CPUs with a maximum TDP of 65 watts are supported, courtesy of the compact enclosure. Dual SODIMMs are present, which can accommodate up to 96 GB of DDR5 memory. Storage requirements are taken care of by a 2.5-inch drive, which can house SSDs and HDDs, as well as an M.2 2280 slot.
As mentioned previously, the dual 70 mm fan setup allows for robust cooling performance for round the clock performance. Of course, whether or not Shuttle's claims hold up in real life can only be verified with independent testing. The port selection is pretty impressive, which we have come to expect from industrial mini PCs:
- Dual USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A Dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-C and Type-A)
- Four USB 2.0 Type-A
- 2.5G LAN, 1G LAN
- USB4
- Dual RS232, 9-pin D-Sub
- Dual 3.5 mm jack (input and output)
Wireless connectivity is taken care of by an M.2 2230 slot, which can be populated with wireless cards. The Shuttle XPC Slim DH810 is already available, although pricing details are only available on enquiry, as is typical of products intended for industrial use. For personal use, something like the AM5-equipped Minisforum MS-A1 mini PC will be better suited, currently available at just $239.90 for the barebones variant.
