Acemagic has introduced a new AMD Strix Point mini PC, the F5A. It stands as a slightly upgraded model of the F3A, which did relatively well in our tests. While they are both powered by the same Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, the newer system comes with an OCuLink port.
This addition makes the Acemagic F5A a better pick for an eGPU setup than the F3A, as the latter only comes with USB4 ports. Of course, the Radeon 890M iGPU of the mini PC is already capable of offering a decent gaming experience. Per our analysis, this Strix Point integrated graphics can smoothly handle most AAA games at the 1080p resolution with the medium to high preset.
Besides the OCuLink port, the Acemagic F5A comes with the following ports:
- 2x USB4
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 2x 2.5G Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
With the USB4, HDMI, and DisplayPort ports, the mini PC can offer quad-display output, and for wireless connectivity, the Acemagic F5A has WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Among the other highlights are support for up to 96 GB of DDR5 RAM and 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage (2 TB WD_BLACK SN7100 curr. $129.99 on Amazon).
As for the launch, the Acemagic F5A is set to be available sometime in September 2025, but the company has yet to reveal the pricing details. However, it's worth noting that the F3A launched with a starting price of $759.
