Verdict - A powerful allrounder with a modern AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
During our test, the Acemagic F3A with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 proved to be a powerful and versatile mini PC. Thanks to its modern Zen 5 architecture, fast DDR5 RAM support and speedy SSD, it delivers impressive system performance for office tasks, multimedia work and casual gaming. Its compact build, futuristic design and large amount of connectivity options additionally speak in favor of the device. Haptically, on the other hand, the Acemagic F3A can't quite keep up with the more high-quality aluminum cases of its competitors from Minisforum or Geekom.
Its efficient cooling ensures stable temperatures, even under load. Thankfully, the Acemagic F3A doesn't really make any major mistakes. Anyone looking for a compact and powerful mini PC will find an attractive solution in the Acemagic F3A, which also boasts a great price-to-performance ratio.

Accessories
Acemagic hasn't included many accessories: The PC's box only contains the device itself as well as a power supply unit and a VESA bracket with mounting material.
Maintenance
The device'S RAM and SSD can be accessed quite easily from the top: You first have to unscrew a few screws, but this isn't a major challenge. Further disassembly of the Acemagic F3A is also possible. As the topic of Acemagic and software still causes some users stomach aches, we have carried out a complete Windows installation. In general, the operating system can be installed without having to use the manufacturer's driver package. This is primarily of interest to buyers of the barebone version.
Please note:
Regardless of the manufacturer, it is always advisable to reinstall a pre-installed operating system before using the device for the first time.
Sustainability
The compact Acemagic F3A only allows for limited repairs, but it at least comes with a 36-month warranty. Its slim packaging makes transportation uncomplicated. In terms of sustainability, the manufacturer hasn't provided any specific values. More detailed information on recycled materials is also missing. Thankfully, however, the mini PC boasts good energy efficiency.
Performance - The AMD Ryzen AI 9 with 12 cores
Testing conditions
All tests in this review were carried out in the device's factory settings. The BIOS itself offers only a few setting options.
Processor
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 inside the Acemagic F3A is a powerful 12-core processor based on Zen 5 architecture, which is impressive during both single-core and multi-core applications. Our test sample only narrowly lost the direct comparison with the Minisforum AI X1 Pro with the same SoC during our test.

Cinebench R15 Multi continuous test
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in the Acemagic F3A is similarly impressive under continuous load. During our test, its maximum power consumption was 70 watts and then leveled off at 53 watts. Overall, the mini PC's cooling system is slightly weaker than that of the Minisforum AI X1 Pro. Compared to the Acemagic F2A, however, its continuous performance has been significantly increased.
System performance
Acemagic F3A delivers impressive system performance thanks to its powerful Ryzen AI 9 APU, fast DDR5 RAM and PCIe SSD. Our test sample took first place in the RAM benchmarks with a minimal lead. Mini PCs with faster LPDDR5x memory (Minisforum EliteMini AI370) delivered better results in this respect.

DPC latencies
The Acemagic F3A showed significantly increased DPC latencies under load, for example when starting Prime95. Even before being placed under load, its values weren't ideal, as shown by occasional dropped frames while playing back our 4K test video.

Graphics card and gaming performance
The AMD Radeon 890M iGPU installed in the Acemagic F3A is based on the latest RDNA3+ architecture and replaces the older Radeon 780M. Among current iGPUs, the AMD Radeon 890M is one of the fastest models available to date. This also became evident during the benchmarks, in which the AMD Radeon 890M was usually superior to its competitors. Compared to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop, however, the fast iGPU had to admit defeat.

Emissions - Surprisingly quiet under load
Noise emissions
Thanks to its well-designed case and efficient cooling, the Acemagic F3A remains pleasantly quiet when idle. Under load, its fan is slightly audible but stays very quiet in comparison at up to 36 dB(A). Under low load, we measured a sound pressure level of 32.1 dB(A), which is also significantly better than the Acemagic F3A's competitors.

Temperature
The Acemagic F3A's case stays largely cool both when idling and under load. Only in the middle on the top does it heat up significantly more. During the stress test, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 briefly reached temperatures of around 74 °C, which isn't critical. On average, the APU is operated at 61 watts.
(-) The maximum temperature on the upper side is 47.8 °C / 118 F, compared to the average of 35.8 °C / 96 F, ranging from 21.6 to 69.5 °C for the class Mini PC.
(±) The bottom heats up to a maximum of 42.4 °C / 108 F, compared to the average of 36.1 °C / 97 F
(+) In idle usage, the average temperature for the upper side is 28.9 °C / 84 F, compared to the device average of 32.3 °C / 90 F.
(±) 3: The average temperature for the upper side is 32.4 °C / 90 F, compared to the average of 32.3 °C / 90 F for the class Mini PC.
Power management - Frugal but no efficiency miracle
Inside the Acemagic F3A, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 offers strong performance with moderate energy consumption, as our efficiency analysis revealed. The Minisforum AI X1 Pro achieved even better results with the same processor. Nevertheless, mini PCs are generally more frugal than classic desktop PCs, and the Acemagic F3A proved to be consistently efficient: Its idle consumption was around 8.5 to 12.6 watts during our test, while we measured around 69 watts under average load and peak values of around 110 watts. The external 120-watt power supply works reliably and still offers reserves for upgrades.

Notebookcheck total rating
During our test, the Acemagic F3A impressed with its powerful performance, compact design and good connectivity. Efficient cooling and a modern design round off its package. Minor weaknesses, such as the manufacturer's choice of materials for its case, only minimally spoil its otherwise good total impression.
