Conclusion - Efficient and powerful mini PC with Ryzen 7 at a fair price
In the test, the Peladn HA-4 presents itself as a compact and extremely high-quality mini PC. The casing combines an aluminum base with some plastic elements and its simple design makes it look unobtrusive and modern. Inside is the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, which provides powerful computing performance and also scores with excellent energy efficiency. The integrated AMD Radeon 780M delivers solid graphics performance, but does not quite reach the level of the Bosgame M4 Neo, although both models are based on the same CPU.
The low energy consumption compared to classic desktop PCs is particularly positive. With its solid features, reliable performance and attractive price, the Peladn HA-4 is ideal for office tasks, media playback and occasional gaming. However, there are compromises to be made in terms of connectivity, as modern interfaces such as USB4 or OCuLink are missing. Nevertheless, the mini PC remains an interesting choice in its price range and positions itself as a serious alternative to competitor models such as the Chuwi Aubox.

The Peladn HA-4 is a compact mini PC based on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS. The processor is no longer one of the latest models, but offers 8 cores and 16 threads and still delivers exceptional performance for everyday use. In our test configuration, the device is also equipped with 32 GB DDR5 RAM and a 1 TB SSD. This combination ensures that the APU makes the most of its performance potential.

Case & features
The Peladn HA-4 comes in a high-quality aluminum housing with compact dimensions and a weight of 965 grams. Compared to other mini-PCs, the Peladn HA-4 weighs noticeably more, which is due to the aluminum housing. The manufacturer has also equipped the mini PC with subtle RGB lighting. Positive: The lighting modes can be switched manually using a button without having to use special software. The connections are sensibly distributed across the front and rear and offer a solid selection for everyday office and multimedia use. However, state-of-the-art interfaces such as USB4 or OCuLink are not available, but up to three displays can still be operated simultaneously. Another plus is the network equipment with a 2.5 Gigabit LAN and fast WLAN, which means the compact mini PC is also ideally equipped for more demanding network tasks.
Processor
The Peladn HA-4 is based on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, an 8-core processor of the Zen4 architecture. Unlike the latest Ryzen AI processors, the 7840HS does not have a dedicated NPU to accelerate AI applications but still offers very high computing power for office, multimedia, and productive tasks. Anyone working specifically with AI applications should opt for a model with an integrated AI unit. In terms of performance, the Peladn HA-4 is roughly on a par with comparable Mini PCs with Ryzen 7 7840HS or Ryzen 7 8845HHS in the test field and impresses with its stable performance in everyday use.

Storage device
The Peladn HA-4 comes with a fast M.2 SSD ex works, which ensures short loading times and a responsive system in the test. Peladn also installs a comparatively large cooling unit with a fan, which means that we hardly noticed any loss of performance under continuous load. The Peladn HA-4 only offers space for one mass storage device.

3D performance and gaming performance
The integrated AMD Radeon 780M of the Ryzen 7 7840HS provides the graphics output in the Peladn HA-4. Thanks to the DDR5 RAM, which also works in quad-channel mode, the iGPU can exploit its potential well and delivers good results in everyday use as well as in lighter 3D applications. In a direct comparison, however, the performance remains slightly behind the Bosgame M4 Neo or the Geekom A8 Max. For current AAA titles, the resolution and detail levels must therefore be significantly reduced. The mini PC is much better suited for older games, indie titles, or casual games, which run smoothly without any problems.

Emissions
Due to the choice of material, the housing heats up noticeably. However, there are no problematic hotspots. In the stress test, the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS briefly reaches temperatures of just over 72°C but stabilizes at an average of 68°C over the course of the test. The average power consumption of the APU is around 45 watts. In idle mode, the mini PC is not as economical as its competitors, but this is also due to the lighting. At its peak, we measured just under 71 watts, which the 120-watt power supply unit easily copes with. Due to the economical APU in combination with the excellent performance, the Peladn HA-4 turns out to be extremely efficient. The Peladn HA-4 is not loud, but given its high weight and metal content, we expected slightly better results.

In our test report, the Peladn HA-4 with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS proves to be a powerful and efficient mini PC. The aluminum-based housing gives a very stable and high-quality impression, even if modern connections such as USB4 or OCuLink are not available and the variety of connections is therefore somewhat limited. The compact computer does not have any major weaknesses, and with a price of around 430 euros, you get a versatile all-rounder that is ideal for both the office and the home workplace.
