Verdict - Only a true alternative when discounted
During our test, the NiPoGi AM06 Pro proved to be a reliable mini PC for everyday use. Its installed AMD Ryzen 7 5700U delivers enough performance for office work, media playback and simple multitasking. Compared to current APUs, on the other hand, the platform feels a little outdated. Positive aspects of the device include the power consumption of its efficient APU. However, its connectivity isn't the best: Since it's only fitted with one RAM module, its graphics performance is further slowed down—but this can be remedied by installing a second module.
Taking into consideration its cheap price, you can't expect the NiPoGi AM06 Pro to have a high-quality case. Visually, the mini PC looks simple and understated, but its focus clearly lies on functionality. Its connections have been positioned well and are easily accessible. Within the price range of under $400, the AM06 Pro is one of the more interesting options—at least when it comes to the performance on offer. Although more expensive devices deliver more performance, this mini PC offers a balanced total package with good everyday performance for those who are on a budget.
Pros
Cons
Price and availability
NiPoGi's AM06 Pro is a mini PC that primarily aims to attract potential buyers with its low price. Equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700U, the compact PC can access a powerful 8-core processor which, however, is no longer totally up-to-date. There aren't many alternatives in the price range of up to $400, but can the NiPoGi AM06 Pro impress within this niche? Further features include 16 GB DDR4 RAM and a 512-GB SSD, making the mini PC ready for action straight away.
Specifications
Case & connectivity
The PC's low price is reflected in how it looks and feels. Its more functional plastic case features no highlights worth mentioning, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Moreover, the manufacturer has opted for a case that's also used by other brands, so it isn't an in-house design. It comes with a simple selection of connections without modern interfaces such as USB 4 or Thunderbolt. Its dual-LAN option is certainly worth mentioning, with one connection even offering a speed of 2.5 GBit.

Accessories
Maintenance
The NiPoGi AM06 Pro is easy and uncomplicated to open from the bottom. The RAM, SSD and WLAN modules are easy to replace and can be upgraded if necessary. In our test sample, there is still space for an additional mass storage device and another RAM module. The CPU fan is located on the top and is only accessible if the entire circuit board is removed from the case. With a little dexterity, this can be done.
Sustainability
The mini PC is supplied in a small box made mainly of cardboard. Some of the accessories are packaged separately. The manufacturer could've saved some plastic waste here. NiPoGi hasn't provided any information on whether it has used any sustainable materials for production.
Performance
The AMD Ryzen 7 5700U is certainly no longer one of the most modern processors on the market. Nevertheless, the APU delivers solid performance and scores points primarily with its eight cores and 16 threads. On the same basis, the AM06 Pro is also available with an AMD Ryzen 7 5825U, which boasts slightly higher clock frequencies.
Testing conditions
We carried out all tests relevant to our evaluation in the device's delivered state. No adjustments were made to the BIOS.
Processor
The NiPoGi AM06 Pro uses the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U, an eight-core processor based on Zen 2 architecture. The APU is designed for a long-term TDP of 15 watts, so it remains very efficient. However, this also significantly limits the performance of the 8-core processor, as can be seen from the values we measured. In comparison, its results were only enough for last place, although its performance is still sufficient for everyday use.

Cinebench R15 Multi continuous test
The Cinebench R15 endurance tests proved that NiPoGi has installed a well-tuned cooling system in its AM06 Pro, which keeps the APU stable even under sustained load. The processor reached a short-term power consumption of up to 20 watts, but never hit any critical temperatures—the maximum we noted was a moderate 74 °C. No performance losses due to overheating occurred during our test.
System performance
The NiPoGi AM06 Pro is ideal for use as an office PC. Even so, there are some performance differences compared to its competitors. The biggest disadvantage is its use of only one RAM module, which means that NiPoGi is practically giving away performance. This is a clear disadvantage, especially when it comes to its 3D performance.

When it comes to mass storage, the device uses a simple M.2 SSD with SATA speeds. With a capacity of 512 GB, the installed model is big enough to accommodate all the most common programs for office use. The NiPoGi AM06 Pro can house up to two mass storage devices at the same time. We didn't notice any problems under load during our tests.

GPU and gaming performance
The AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 integrated into the NiPoGi AM06 Pro is an entry-level iGPU that is only suitable for the most basic tasks. The AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 is no longer one of the latest models, which is clearly reflected in its benchmark results. Its 3D performance was also negatively affected by the low power consumption of its processor and RAM. Its performance is simply not sufficient for demanding games or creative workflows with a high graphics load. Overall, the Vega 8 offers a solid basis for office work, multimedia tasks and low-res casual gaming.

Emissions
Noise emissions
The NiPoGi AM06 Pro relies on a compact and efficient cooling system with a single fan. Under full load, its noise emissions remain moderate and shouldn't disturb users during everyday use—we measured a maximum sound pressure level of just over 33 dB(A) during our test. Although the system isn't completely silent when idling, it's nice and quiet and unobtrusive during operation.

Power consumption
When it comes to energy consumption, the NiPoGi AM06 Pro is one of the most efficient devices in the comparison field. Its frugal SoC plays a decisive role in this case, even if its computing power is a little lower compared to the competition. Even under load, the mini PC rarely exceeded the 30 watt mark during our test, making it a very energy-efficient solution indeed. Power is supplied via a USB-C port, with the included power supply unit providing an output of up to 65 watts.
