The Bosgame M4 Neo impresses in the test as a compact, powerful mini PC with high-performance AMD hardware. In combination with the integrated Radeon 780M, the Ryzen 7 7840HS offers a strong basis for everyday tasks, multimedia and even light gaming. In terms of connectivity and expandability, the M4 Neo is impressive and shows no serious weaknesses. The OCuLink interface is a welcome extra, while the rest of the connectivity is solid - but largely in line with the standard offered by many other mini PCs.
The fan characteristics are less positive - the M4 Neo operates audibly under load and makes a high-pitched noise. If you are willing to manually adjust the fan speed, you can counteract this. With a price of around 390 euros / 530 Dollars, the M4 Neo is comparatively inexpensive and thus offers an attractive overall package of strong performance, solid features and useful extras - ideal for power users, creative professionals and demanding home users.

Housing & equipment
The compact, robust housing of the Bosgame M4 Neo is largely made of plastic and weighs less than 600 grams. It can be attached directly to the monitor using a VESA mount. On the connection side, the mini PC offers a good selection of useful interfaces. Among other things, there are several USB interfaces, two of which can work at USB4 speed. Bosgame is one of the manufacturers who also equip their Mini-PCs with OCuLink, which enables the use of external graphics cards. Accessories
Bosgame delivers the M4 Neo with not much but practical accessories. The package includes a VESA mount, the 120-watt power supply unit, an HDMI cable and a quick start guide.
Maintenance
The Bosgame M4 Neo is delivered with pre-installed RAM and an SSD as standard. A second M.2 SSD can be retrofitted if required. To do this, the device must be opened at the bottom and the SSD heat sink removed - an uncomplicated process that can be carried out easily without special tools.

All performance tests of the Bosgame M4 Neo were carried out in the delivery state. Bosgame also allows the processor performance profile and fan profile to be adjusted via the UEFI.
Processor
The AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS in the Bosgame M4 Neo offers strong single and multi-core performance thanks to the Zen 4 architecture. In comparison, the performance is at the expected level - without any noticeable throttling by the manufacturer. The SoC briefly reaches in our tests a power consumption of up to 65 watts.

The Bosgame M4 Neo impresses in everyday use with its strong performance. Thanks to the fast DDR5 RAM and speedy PCIe SSD, waiting times are barely noticeable.
