Verdict - Efficient mini PC with Ryzen 7 power at a fair price

The Alliwava H90 Pro impresses as a compact and efficient mini PC with solid workmanship and balanced performance. The AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS offers enough power for office applications, media playback and light gaming, while the system remains predominantly quiet and economical thanks to the low power consumption. The casing combines aluminum and plastic and scores with solid workmanship and a simple, elegant design. It is a bit of a shame that modern connections such as USB4 or OCuLink are missing and that the integrated Radeon 780M cannot exploit its full potential. Nevertheless, the mini PC offers a very coherent overall package in its price range under 500 euros and is therefore an interesting choice for the desk or home office.

Case & Connectivity

The Alliwava H90 Pro comes in a high-quality aluminum housing with compact dimensions and a weight of around 500 grams. While the base is made of aluminum, the housing cover and underside are made of plastic, which hardly detracts from the overall solid and high-quality impression. The connections are sensibly distributed across the front and rear and offer a good selection for everyday use in the office or home environment. However, modern interfaces such as USB4 or OCuLink must be dispensed with. Nevertheless, the Alliwava H90 Pro can control up to three displays simultaneously. Its network equipment with two 2.5 gigabit LAN ports and fast WLAN are also among the strengths of this compact mini PC from the Far East.

Support

The manufacturer Alliwava has responded to earlier criticism and made improvements. The support page has been revised and driver packages can now be downloaded directly from a cloud provider without prior registration. Alliwava also offers a 24-month warranty on purchases. Overall, the support area is now much more customer-friendly and clearer, which makes setting up and maintaining the Alliwava H90 Pro noticeably easier.

Processor - Ryzen 7 8745HS with 8 cores but without NPU

The Alliwava H90 Pro is powered by the powerful AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS an 8-core processor based on the Zen 4 architecture. In contrast to the larger models such as the Ryzen 7 8845HS or Ryzen 9 8945HS the 8745HS does not have a dedicated NPU to accelerate AI applications. Users who work specifically with AI workloads should therefore opt for a model with an integrated AI unit. In the performance tests, the Alliwava H90 Pro is positioned just behind the Chuwi Aubox, which is also equipped with the Ryzen 7 8745HS.

System performance and mass storage

In the system performance benchmarks, the Alliwava H90 Pro shows a solid performance overall, even if it reveals its limits in some areas. It is noticeable that other models with an identical CPU, such as the Minisforum NAB9, achieve slightly better results in some tests. In practical use, however, the Alliwava H90 Pro left a good impression - the system ran smoothly and reliably, without any significant problems in everyday use. The built-in mass storage offers decent performance, but lags behind the competition. Under sustained load, the SSD cannot keep its performance stable over the long term.

Graphics card and gaming performance - AMD Radeon 780M

In the Alliwava H90 Pro, the integrated AMD Radeon 780M of the Ryzen 7 8745HS takes over the graphics output. Thanks to the optimized RAM configuration, the iGPU can exploit its performance potential better than in some competitor models, such as the Chuwi Aubox. In an average performance comparison, this results in a lead of around 20 percent. Nevertheless, it is noticeable that Alliwava does not get the most out of the iGPU, which is due to a lower TDP. If you want to play current games with the mini PC, you will therefore have to make noticeable compromises in terms of resolution and graphics details. However, the Alliwava H90 Pro is well suited for older titles or casual games.

Thanks to its sophisticated cooling design, the casing of the Alliwava H90 Pro remains predominantly cool even under high load. Only in the area of the rear ventilation openings is there a noticeable warming. In the stress test, the AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS briefly reaches temperatures of around 94 C, but this is still within the safe range. The average power consumption of the APU is around 35 watts.
The Alliwava H90 Pro is very energy-efficient in idle mode, while an average power consumption of around 62 watts and peak values of up to 80 watts are measured under full load. Overall, the Mini-PC impresses with its high-energy efficiency, which is mainly due to the modestly set power limits of the processor. Notebookcheck rating

The Alliwava H90 Pro leaves a good overall impression in our short test. The AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS ensures high computing power, while the cooling system is pleasantly quiet. The aluminum housing has a high-quality and stable appearance, which also enhances the Mini-PC's visual appeal. Although modern connections such as USB4 or OCuLink are missing, which limits the expandability somewhat, this is hardly an issue in everyday use. Overall, the Alliwava H90 Pro presents itself as a powerful and reliable mini PC - a good all-rounder for use in the office or home office, at a price of around 479 euros.
