Compact, modular, and surprisingly powerful, the Khadas Mind Pro wants to be more than just a mini PC. With Intel Core Ultra X7, 64 GB RAM, and flexible expansions up to a gaming PC, it promises maximum versatility. But how good is its everyday performance really? Our test provides the answers.

With the Khadas Mind Pro, the manufacturer is expanding its compact mini PC series with a significantly more powerful model, using the latest generation of hardware. At its heart is the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, which offers a noticeably higher CPU performance compared to the previous versions of the Mind series. The processor is supported by 64 GB RAM and a fast 2 TB SSD, clearly positioning the mini PC in the premium segment. The manufacturer also offers other configuration variants: in addition to the tested model, there is also a version with Intel Core Ultra X9 388H and 96 GB RAM, as well as a slimmed-down version with Core Ultra X7 358H and 32 GB RAM. The mass storage, on the other hand, remains at 2 TB.

There has also been progress with the integrated graphics: the new Intel Arc iGPU based on the Xe3 architecture, provides a significant leap in performance compared to its predecessors. This not only makes classic office and multimedia tasks possible without any problems but also 3D applications and occasional gaming—albeit with adjusted details.

Despite the increased performance, the Khadas Mind Pro remains true to its compact form factor. Although the housing has grown minimally, it still relies on a high-quality metal construction and remains fully compatible with existing accessories. The modular ecosystem remains a special feature: optional extensions such as the Mind Dock ($179 on Amazon), the Mind Graphics (from $1,199 on Amazon), or the Mind xPlay ($399 at the manufacturer) allow the range of functions to be significantly expanded—from a desktop replacement to a mobile solution to a fully fledged gaming PC. The current Mind Graphics 2 ($1,349 at the manufacturer) relies on an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB VRAM and expands the system with additional practical connections and integrated speakers.

In the test, the mini PC also proved to be efficient and comparatively quiet, which is also due to the revised cooling system. Another practical feature is the integrated battery, which enables longer standby operation and even allows operation without a power supply unit for a short time.

However, the compact design also has its limitations: upgradeability is severely limited as central components such as RAM and WLAN are permanently integrated. In addition, the price is high at around $1,799—a situation that was already evident with the Mind 2s (currently listed at $1,599 on Amazon).

Our recent review clarifies how the Khadas Mind Pro performs in benchmarks, how efficiently the system works, and what role the modular concept plays in everyday life.
