HP releases new EliteBoard G1a keyboard with built-in battery and AMD Ryzen APUs

HP has quietly released its keyboard-cum-PC in multiple markets. Presented in January during CES 2026, the EliteBoard G1a is barely larger than even compact wireless keyboards like the MX Keys Mini (curr. $99.99 on Amazon). Additionally, it is significantly more powerful than comparable devices like the Raspberry Pi 500.
Initially, HP claimed that the EliteBoard G1a would be available this month. Currently, the company refers to the device as 'coming soon' across Europe, the UK and the US. However, it has now released the mini-PC in parts of East Asia like Hong Kong and Japan.
Confirming all technical specifications in the process, HP has already heavily discounted the EliteBoard G1a in both countries. For instance, HP Japan has dropped the device's price by over 50% for most SKUs. Currently, the EliteBoard G1a starts at HKD 11,999 (~$1,530) and JPY 232,800 (~$1,467), including taxes.
For that price, HP includes a Ryzen AI 5 330 processor with 4 Zen 5 cores and a Radeon 820M iGPU. Also, this configuration features 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM with 256 GB of storage in Japan and 512 GB of storage in Hong Kong. All SKUs ship with a 32 Wh battery that supports 65 W charging but only dual USB 4 ports. Full pricing information is as follows:
