HP Omen Max 45L gaming desktop refreshed with new Intel Arrow Lake CPUs

Shortly after Intel stealthily unveiled refreshed Arrow Lake CPUs for desktops, OEMs like HP have started incorporating them into their pre-built gaming PCs. Its top-spec offering, the Omen Max 45L, can now be configured with the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus. GPU choices are mostly the same, given that neither Nvidia nor AMD has released any new stuff in the past few months.
The Omen Max 45L does, however, let users pick the scaled-down RTX 5090D V2 with 24 GB of GDDR7 VRAM and fewer CUDA cores compared to the regular RTX 5090. Other options include the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060. For AMD GPUs, the only available SKU is the Radeon RX 9070 XT.
HP lets you configure the Omen Max 45L with up to 128 GB DDR5-4800 RAM. If you want faster memory, you have to settle with up to 64 GB of DDR5-6000. Storage options include a combination of a 2 TB SATA HDD, a 4/2 TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD and a 2/1 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. The system can be kitted out with up to a 1,200-watt Platinum PSU. 1,000-Watt 80 Plus Gold and 850 Watt Gold options are also available as cheaper alternatives.
The Omen Max 45L comes with plenty of I/O, such as two 10 Gbps USB-C ports, four 5 Gbps USB-A ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and a Thunderbolt 4.0 port. Wireless connectivity options include 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Disassembly is completely toolless and requires you to press down on a button to access the side panel.
HP says the Omen Max 45L will be available for sale in May. Prices will be revealed as the launch date approaches.
