ViewDock launches new mini-PC globally with built-in display and wireless charging dock

ViewDock has returned with a mini-PC featuring a built-in display and a 15 W wireless charging pad. To recap, the company launched the eponymous ViewDock last year on Kickstarter. Now, it has returned to the same crowdfunding platform with the ViewDock G2.
Measuring 175 x 138 x 51 mm, the ViewDock G2 contains SO-DIMM slots for up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM running in dual-channel mode. Also, the mini-PC features dual M.2 2280 slots, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and a USB4 port for connecting devices like eGPUs. Meanwhile, the hinged display outputs at 480 x 854 pixels across a 4.5-inch panel.
ViewDock also mentions that the ViewDock G2 will ship with one of the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, Ryzen 5 7640H, Ryzen 7 7735H, Ryzen 7 7840H, Ryzen 9 7940H or the Ryzen 7 8845H, the latter of which is already found in some mini-PCs like the Minisforum UM870 Slim (curr. $665 on Amazon). Unfortunately, the company has not elaborated further. For reference, our benchmarks indicate that wide performance and efficiency gaps exist between these APUs.
The ViewDock G2 starts at $639 for the first 200 units backed on Kickstarter. Alternatively, ViewDock is offering its new mini-PC for $889 with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. 1 TB SKUs are available too, with 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM for $999 and $1,299, respectively.
Currently, ViewDock hopes to begin shipping to backers in August 2026. Please note that the company successfully shipped the ViewDock Docking Station last year. However, delivery delays or a complete loss of funds are possible with any crowdfunding campaign.
