Verdict - High-end Cube PC with 128 GB RAM and Radeon 8060S
The Acemagic M1A Pro+ presents itself in our test as a powerful mini PC in a compact format. The combination of AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with AMD Radeon 8060S and 128 GB RAM enables high performance for demanding applications such as gaming, rendering, and professional workloads. Even under sustained load, the system remains comparatively cool and acoustically restrained, which is particularly positive in this performance class. In terms of price, the M1A Pro+ is attractively positioned against the backdrop of the current RAM price trend and, in return, offers very high computing power and excellent AI performance. A particular advantage is the flexibly configurable memory allocation (up to 96 GB) for the integrated graphics unit, which allows the system to be optimally adapted to memory-intensive applications.
Points of criticism include the limited accessibility of the interior, which makes maintenance work almost impossible. In addition, the fan control could offer finer adjustment options. However, the M1A Pro+ does not have any major weaknesses. Anyone looking for maximum performance with an unusual and eye-catching case will get a powerful workstation in mini format that is one of the most interesting representatives in its class.
Pros
Cons
Price and availability
The Acemagic M1A Pro+ is currently available directly from the manufacturer for $2,499.
The Acemagic M1A Pro+ remains true to the characteristic cube design of the series but has been extensively modernized technically. With its powerful features, the system is specially designed for professional applications such as AI development, data-intensive analyses, and scientific applications. Based on the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, the compact PC relies on AMD's most powerful APU, and in combination with 128 GB RAM, the most powerful version of this APU is used.
Specifications
Case & Connectivity
Like the previous model, the Acemagic Tank 03, the Acemagic M1A Pro+ uses the same visual design with a few changes under the side cover. The characteristic control element on the front has also been retained: the integrated rotary control can be used to conveniently switch between several power modes (70 watts, 100 watts, and 140 watts). Materials and workmanship are similar to the Tank 03, to which we refer at this point.

Scope of delivery and accessories
Acemagic does not supply extensive accessories with the M1A Pro+. In addition to the heavy 300 watt power supply unit, there is also a quick start guide and a high-quality HDMI connection cable. Windows 11 Professional is used as the operating system. We did not notice any particular software-related anomalies.
Maintenance
The Acemagic M1A Pro+ has two maintenance flaps on the side that can be opened without tools and allow direct access to the SSD and WLAN module. There are still two free M.2 slots in our test device. It is possible to completely dismantle the housing, although this is very complicated. Many screws are located under the glued-on corner covers, which are very difficult to remove without causing damage. Why the manufacturer makes complete access to the interior difficult is incomprehensible - especially with regard to possible maintenance work such as cleaning or fan replacement.
Sustainability
The manufacturer does not provide any specific information on the sustainability of the M1A Pro+. However, the packaging is precisely tailored to the dimensions of the compact PC.
Test conditions
All benchmarks relevant to the evaluation were run in Performance mode. Alternatively, a Balanced and Quiet mode are available, which limit the power consumption of the CPU. The power limits can be conveniently adjusted using the rotary control on the front of the device. The power levels of the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 are set to 70, 100 and 140 watts.
Processor
The Acemagic M1A Pro+ is equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which is currently one of AMD's most powerful mobile processors. In performance mode, the SoC can draw up to 140 watts for short periods but stabilizes at around 120 watts under sustained load. The user-friendly power control via the rotary control on the front of the housing is impressive in everyday use. This allows the processor performance to be adjusted quickly and easily without having to restart or adjust the BIOS. Even in silent mode, the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 offers sufficient reserves for most applications.
Despite the powerful cooling, our test device cannot quite compete with the Minisforum MS-S1 Max, can keep up. The manufacturer allows the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 a higher performance budget, which results in an average performance advantage of just over ten percent.

System performance
The Acemagic M1A Pro+ delivers a very high system performance overall, but has to admit defeat to some comparable test devices in individual benchmarks. The system benefits from its strong RAM performance, especially in memory-intensive applications. A dedicated NPU with 50 TOPS is also available for AI workloads, which noticeably accelerates computing-intensive tasks and achieves a performance level on a par with similarly equipped competitor models.

Storage devices
Our test device was delivered with a 2 TB SSD from Zhitai. At the beginning, however, reproducible system restarts occurred repeatedly, which could be traced back to the installed drive after closer analysis. In consultation with the manufacturer, we therefore carried out further tests with an alternative SSD. Overall, the alternative option delivers acceptable performance. The Acemagic M1A Pro+ supports the installation of three M.2 SSDs, which means that the PC can be equipped with up to 12 TB of storage space.

This is how Notebookcheck is testing
Every year, Notebookcheck independently reviews hundreds of laptops and smartphones using standardized procedures to ensure that all results are comparable. We have continuously developed our test methods for around 20 years and set industry standards in the process. In our test labs, high-quality measuring equipment is utilized by experienced technicians and editors. These tests involve a multi-stage validation process. Our complex rating system is based on hundreds of well-founded measurements and benchmarks, which maintains objectivity. Further information on our test methods can be found here.
