Ninkear L20 review: Efficient Lunar Lake mini-PC impresses in everyday use

The Ninkear L20 combines Intel's efficient Lunar Lake architecture with an extensive selection of ports in a tiny package. Our recent review reveals how well this compact desktop replacement performs in terms of performance, cooling, and everyday usability.
With a chassis volume of just 0.66 liters, the Ninkear L20 is one of the smaller models in its class. Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, the system combines four performance cores with four efficiency cores. The processor is backed by 16 GB of non-upgradable LPDDR5X RAM and a fast NVMe SSD. The system is therefore primarily aimed at office users looking for a modern, efficient mini PC at a reasonable price of 699 euros.
In real-world use, the Core Ultra 5 226V delivers excellent performance in everyday tasks and single-core applications. Under sustained load, however, the Intel platform falls behind more modern Ryzen alternatives (e.g. Acemagic Retro X3, currently $575 on Amazon). In return, the integrated Intel Arc Graphics 130V impresses with good graphics performance on par with the established Radeon 780M. Those who need more graphics power can add an external GPU thanks to the full-featured USB4 port.
The mini PC also leaves little to be desired in terms of its other features. Five USB-A ports, DisplayPort, HDMI with support for high refresh rates, fast 2.5-gigabit Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 6E ensure flexible connectivity for everyday use. One minor limitation is the on-package memory design, as the RAM cannot be upgraded later, so future needs must be considered when making a purchase.
The Ninkear L20 is now available directly from the manufacturer and is a solid option for users seeking plenty of performance and modern features in a particularly compact form factor.
