Minisforum has expanded its affordable mini-PC line with a new option measuring just 130 x 126 x 50 mm. Featuring USB4 connectivity and user-upgradeable RAM, the Minisforum M1 Lite can be ordered for just over $300 and is available globally.

Minisforum has updated its M1 mini-PC series with a new Intel-based model. To recap, the company launched the M1 Plus in December 2025 (curr. $599 on Amazon). While the M1 Plus features Alder Lake-H series processors, the newer M1 Lite falls back to Intel's Meteor Lake-U platform in the shape of the Core Ultra 5 125U.

A 12-core processor, the Core Ultra 5 125U has a 35 W TDP in the M1 Lite but contains a relatively meagre 4-core iGPU. Handily, the M1 Lite also includes a USB4 port for eGPU expansion. Additionally, Minisforum equips its new mini-PC with dual M.2 2280 and SODIMM slots that support up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM.

Moreover, the M1 Lite utilises an active cooling solution that should run at under 45 dB even under full load. The M1 Lite starts at $311 in the US as a barebones system without any storage, RAM or even an operating system installed. Alternatively, the mini-PC can be purchased with a 512 GB SSD, 16 GB of RAM and a Windows 11 Pro licence for $615.

For reference, the M1 Lite retails for £279/€329/CAD 426/AUD 439/JPY 53,599/KRW 535,900 in the UKEurozoneCanadaAustraliaJapan and South Korea, respectively. Pricing jumps to £569/€659/CAD 842.90/AUD 879/JPY 109,599/KRW 1,095,990 for the same preconfigured variant that Minisforum sells in the US. Please see Minisforum's website for more details.
