GMKtec intros K17 mini PC with entry-level Intel Lunar Lake processor

GMKtec has introduced the K17 mini PC in China, and it's essentially a downgraded version of the GMK K13. For reference, the latter is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V, a capable processor from the Lunar Lake lineup.
The GMK K17, on the other hand, features the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, an entry-level option from the series. It also comes with the lower-end Arc 130V iGPU, which, according to our benchmarks, the Radeon 780M can deliver better GPU performance.
On the bright side, the NucBox K17 mini PC has eGPU support through USB4 (Aoostar AG02 dock curr. $229 on Amazon). GMK didn't share the full port configuration yet, but noted that there's support for three-display output via one USB4 port and two HDMI ports. The promotional pictures also suggest that there are five USB-A ports and one Ethernet port.
Getting back to the core specs, the Lunar Lake processor of the K17 mini PC is paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and GMKtec isn't offering any configuration with more memory than this. As for storage, the pre-configured options max out at 1 TB, but there are two M.2 slots with support for PCIe Gen 5 SSDs.
Design-wise, GMK notes that the mini PC sports a CNC metal finish and a compact form factor. Other highlights include one-click deployment support for OpenClaw and a capable cooling setup. In China, the starting pre-order price is CNY 3,799, about $551, and the company has yet to share when the K17 mini PC will be available in the global market.
