Dell releases new mini-PC globally with Intel Panther Lake and up to 64 GB RAM

Dell has started selling the Pro 5 Micro globally. Launched towards the end of last month, the Pro 5 Micro is one of the first mini-PCs featuring Intel's Panther Lake platform.
As promised, the Pro 5 Micro can be configured with the Core Ultra 5 335 vPro or the Core Ultra 7 366H vPro. Theoretically, the latter processor should be about as powerful as the Apple M4-powered Mac mini (curr. $599 on Amazon). The Core Ultra 5 355 trails both processors in our benchmarks, though.

Additionally, Dell offers up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 or DDR5-6400 RAM, as well as 2 TB of storage and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The Pro 5 Micro cannot currently be configured with EEC RAM, though. Setting that aside, Dell includes the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DC power input
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4a
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet
- 2x USB 2.0 Type-A (480 Mbps)
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (5 Gbps)
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps)
- 1x USB Type-C (100 W USB-PD & DisplayPort Alt Mode)
The Dell Pro 5 Micro starts at $1,409 in the US, CAD 3,049 in Canada, €1,679 in the Eurozone and £1,426 in the UK with 20% VAT applied. However, this configuration contains a Windows 11 Pro licence and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, plus a keyboard and mouse.
For reference, removing these options drops the mini-PC's price to around $1,230. Conversely, a fully configured unit runs to over $4,500. Please see Dell's website for more details.
