8BitDo releases new accessories to jazz up popular Bluetooth wireless controllers for less than $5
8BitDo refreshed its 8BitDo 64 controller range last month with the release of a 2.4 GHz edition (curr. $39.99 on Amazon). With April just starting, the company has expanded the range again by providing more customisation options.
Previously, one needed to buy a Classic Grey variant to obtain recreations of Nintendo's colourful Start, A/B and C buttons. The introduction of the Classic Button Set changes that, which 8BitDo is now selling on its website. Priced at $3.99, the set includes the following parts:
- 1x A button - Blue
- 1x B button - Green
- 4x C buttons - Yellow
- 1x D-pad - Grey
- 1x Start button - Red
- 1x Joystick rubber replacement - Grey
Please note that 8BitDo does not offer a warranty for the Classic Button Set in the US. Likewise, the company claims that one cannot return this set in the US, either. 8BitDo has not confirmed pricing or availablity for other markets yet. Similarly, it is unclear whether this release will make its way to Amazon. Shipping for orders placed on 8BitDo's website should start on May 15, 2026.
