Xbox's best limited edition controller deserves a DualSense version

When the Xbox Wireless Controller Starfield Limited Edition was announced in June 2023, I was tempted to buy it. It was love at first sight, as I believe it was and is still the best-looking limited edition Xbox controller released in the last few years. From its golden D-pad to its transparent triggers to the constellation-inspired color mark and the spaceship control markings around the buttons, Xbox hit the ball out of the park with the design.

I didn't own an Xbox console then, but I didn't mind, as Xbox controllers are compatible with other devices including Android phones and tablets. Plus, I was considering purchasing an Xbox Series S (I never did). Unfortunately, I was never able to purchase the controller when it was first announced, and when I wanted to, it was out of stock.

Now, Starfield has arrived for the PS5 (available on Amazon for $49.99), a console I now own after years of stalling and not being able to afford it, and I really wish there was a DualSense Wireless Controller - Starfield Limited Edition, just so I can buy one.

When I eventually bought the PS5, I decided to go for the Ghost of Yotei edition, which is a pretty beautiful version of the console. The included limited edition controller is also aesthetically pleasing, with its sword marks and gold artwork.

However, I didn't order a second controller along with my console as I want to get a special edition one. I hope there will be a limited edition DualSense controller based on the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine game, and I wish it is as good looking as the Ghost of Yotei version or even better (please give it Wolverine's signature claw marks).

However, I wouldn't mind purchasing a Starfield edition of the DualSense wireless controller that is similar to the version Xbox released for its Wireless Controller. I also wouldn't mind a different design, as long as it looks good. I even decided to consult Gemini to envision what a DualSense Wireless Controller - Starfield Limited Edition might actually look like. Let me know what you think about the designs in the comments.

Sadly, the chance of a DualSense wireless controller - Starfield limited edition is practically zero, at least not an official one. Anyway, a man can hope.
