PlayStation announces release date for its fourth Marvel video game

PlayStation and Insomniac Games have finally revealed the release date for their upcoming AAA game, Marvel's Wolverine. The release date stays true to the promised Fall 2026 timeframe Insomniac announced back in November 2025.
Marvel's Wolverine is a highly anticipated video game and the fourth Marvel game developed by Insomniac Games. However, unlike the other three Marvel games — Spider-Man, Spider-Man Miles Morales, and Spider-Man 2 — which are tied, that isn't the case with Marvel's Wolverine as it is reported to be the first of a new trilogy of games.
The video game was first announced to be in development back in 2021, while a trailer was released last year. No new trailer has been released since then, and while many fans expected new info would be revealed at the February 12 State of Play, there was no mention of the game.
Thankfully, PlayStation has now announced when fans will be able to get their hands on the game. According to a post on its social media channels, Marvel's Wolverine will be released on September 15, 2026. While not stated, it is expected that there will be an earlier date for when pre-order opens. Nevertheless, the console-exclusive game is available to wishlist now on the PlayStation Store.
With roughly six months of waiting, there's more than enough time for PlayStation and Insomniac games to share more details such as the price. We can also expect PlayStation to announce a limited edition DualSense controller based on the game, and probably even a limited edition PS5 console just like it did for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (available on Amazon for $45.69).
