CRKD's new mini controller has a feature found on full-sized controllers

While there are several options when it comes to full-sized controllers, the options for mini controllers are somewhat limited with only a few brands catering to that segment. Thankfully, CRKD has announced a new mini controller and it has a premium feature.
The new controller is called the Atom+, and it arrives as a follow-up to the Atom keychain controller released a couple of years ago. The Atom+ is bigger than the Atom, but with a dimension of 90mm x 48mm, it is still smaller than the 8BitDo SN30 Pro Bluetooth Gamepad which measures 144mm x 63.5mm.
CRKD says the new Atom+ features dual TMR joysticks which have zero stick drift. The controller also has triggers, shoulder buttons, motion controls, turbo mode, and vibration feedback. While it has a Switch layout and is compatible with the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, it is also compatible with PC and PC handhelds, iOS and Android devices, and select smart TVs.
The CRKD Atom+ connects via Bluetooth to the aforementioned devices. It has a rechargeable battery, but there's no mention of the battery life. It is also reported to be compatible with the CRKD app, which can be used to adjust settings and update the firmware.
Available in Glacier Blue, Pal Grey, Retro Purple, and Smoke Black, the CRKD Atom+ can be pre-ordered now for $29.99, and it comes with a USB-C charging cable and a wrist strap. This makes it cheaper than the 8BitDo SN30 Pro (currently available on Amazon for $36.99) and the Hyperkin Retro Pixel Art Wireless Gaming Controller (currently available on Amazon for $31.19). Unfortunately, it won't ship until late June 2026. That shouldn't be surprising considering the CRKD Nitro Deck 2 announced in December 2025 for the Nintendo Switch 2 won't begin to ship until late May 2026.
