CRKD's Atom mini controller wants to take on the 8BitDo Zero 2
CRKD, the brand behind the Nitro Deck and Nitro Deck+, has announced a new product in the form of a keychain controller called the Atom. The Bluetooth controller has a very small factor, no bigger than a keychain. As a matter of fact, it can actually be attached to your keys, so you have a controller with you all the time.

CRKD isn't the first manufacturer to launch a mini controller. 8BitDo beat it to it with its Micro and Zero 2 controllers. However, CRKD's controller is smaller than both of 8BitDo's offerings. The Atom is 68mm x 35mm x 12mm whereas the Zero 2, which is the smaller one of 8BitDo's mini controllers, is 73mm x 36.5mm x 14.7mm.
In addition, the CRKD Atom has four shoulder buttons, up to 10 hours of battery life, and charges via a USB-C port. The Zero 2, on the other hand, has two shoulder buttons, 8 hours of battery life, and a microUSB port. The Atom is also available in eight colors including two transparent ones and comes with a wrist strap while the Zero 2 is available in three colors.
Those who purchase the CRKD Atom will be able to use it with the Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs. The controller is available to pre-order on CRKD's website on $19.99 and will begin shipping between August 29th and September 5th. It will also be available on Amazon and TikTok Shop in the future.
