8BitDo has announced it is celebrating its 12th anniversary, and as part of the celebration, it has unveiled a new limited edition of its SN30 Pro wired gaming controller. The new limited edition color arrives a year after the manufacturer announced gold and silver limited edition colors for its 11th anniversary.
The 8BitDo SN30 Pro USB controller was first released in 2021 as a controller that is compatible with the Nintendo Switch and Windows. Sporting a design reminiscent of the SNES controller, the SN30 Pro is made of plastic. However, the limited edition models, including the new Space Gray color, are made of a zinc-alloy material which gives the controller a solid feel in hand, but also makes it heavier at 381 grams compared to the 145 grams weight of the standard edition.
Nevertheless, like the standard version, the 8BitDo SN30 Pro USB controller has a D-pad, two symmetrical thumbsticks, ABXY buttons, a turbo button, a home button, and support for vibration. The SN30 Pro USB controller is also now compatible with the new Nintendo Switch 2 (software version 20.1.1 and above).
The 8BitDo SN30 Pro Space Gray Limited Edition is available to buy now for $99.99 which is three times more than the standard version that costs $29.99 but is currently available for $24.99 for Amazon Prime Day. The SN30 Pro Space Gray Limited Edition is exclusive to 8BitDo's eShop and is available to buy now.
