8BitDo has partnered with Mecha Break, for a special edition of the 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard. The new keyboard which is officially called the 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard Mecha Break: Panther Edition is now available to pre-order.

The 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard has received multiple iterations since it was first released in 2023. In addition to the original, the mechanical keyboard has a Commodore 64 Edition, Saturn Edition, NES Edition, Famicom Edition, M Edition, and an Xbox Edition.

Like all of 8BitDo's mechanical keyboards, this too has an aluminum plate with a top-mount style design, hot-swappable PCB, and support for n-Key rollover. The keycaps have a matte UV coating and there's RGB backlight with 8 lighting modes, a feature also available on the Xbox edition.
