Amazon has dropped the price of the Bose QuietComfort wireless headphones in chilled lilac, sandstone, twilight blue, white, or blue dusk to $199, a discount of 43% off MSRP.
The headphones use physical volume and settings buttons on the earcups, allowing for direct control even when wearing gloves. The leather ear pads fit around the ear to aid in passively sealing out external noise, while the active noise cancelling system is designed to further reduce background noise.
The ANC system can be adjusted to fully block background noise or allow ambient noises to pass-through. An optional wind-block mode can be activated for clearer calls, according to Bose. The sound profile can be tuned using the Bose smartphone app, and custom profiles can be saved for quick activation. The headphones can be paired with Bose soundbars to feed TV and movie audio directly into them, conveniently bypassing the soundbar when a quiet room is desired.
The wireless headphones provide listeners with up to 24 hours of runtime between charges, which takes an external USB power source 2.5 hours to recharge, says Bose. They can also be used as wired headphones using the included audio cable with built-in microphone. The unit measures 7.68 x 6.18 x 3.15 in. (195 x 157 x 80 mm) and weighs 0.520 lbs (0.236 kg).
