Deal | Prime Day: Amazon knocks off up to 20% on 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controllers, Retro R8 Mouse, and Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard

Amazon's Prime Day sale has already begun with plenty of deals across multiple categories including gaming accessories. 8BitDo has also joined the shopping festival as the prices of several of its products have been slashed by as much as 20%. So now's a good time to grab that new controller or mechanical keyboard you've got on your wish list.

8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller

Regarded as 8BitDo's best controller, the Ultimate 2 Wireless has TMR joysticks, light rings, a USB-C 2.4GHz adapter, and additional programmable bumper buttons. Originally priced at $59.99, the controller can be purchased for $47.99 now in Black, Purple, and White for Amazon Prime subscribers. The green color that was announced last month is also available on Amazon and discounted to $47.99 but is sold by AKNES. The 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller is compatible with Windows, Android, and SteamOS (and the Steam Deck).

8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller

While the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller mentioned above also has Bluetooth, it is quite different from the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller. The latter is the one to buy if you want to use with a Nintendo Switch as the wireless version doesn't work with the Nintendo Switch.

The 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller works with the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 and connects to them via Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and a wired connection. It differs from the wireless version with its Nintendo's ABXY layout but also has TMR joysticks, Hall Effect triggers, and 6-axis motion control. It is also compatible with Windows. Its original price tag is $69.99 but it is down to $55.99 for Prime Day.

8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth Controller and SN30 Pro Bluetooth Controller

Amazon also has the 8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth Controller (with Hall Effect thumbsticks) on sale. Compatible with Windows, Android, iOS, Switch, SteamOS, and Apple devices, this is the 8BitDo controller that rules them all. For Prime Day, it is down to $44.99 from $59.99, and comes with a free travel case.

The SN30 Pro Bluetooth Controller, which has also been upgraded with Hall Effect joysticks and has identical device compatibility to the Pro 2 controller, is also on sale. Amazon has knocked the price down from $44.99 to $35.99.

8BitDo Retro Arcade Fight Stick

8BitDo recently announced a leverless arcade controller but it isn't discounted as it is yet to be released. However, the older 8BitDo Retro Arcade Fight Stick is on sale. Amazon Prime members will be able to snag a 20% discount that brings the price down to $71.99. Those without a Prime subscription have to pay the $89.99 full price.

8BitDo Ultimate 2C Controller (Wired, Bluetooth, and Wireless)

If you want something more affordable, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wired Controller is down to $15.99, a 20% discount from its $19.99 list price. Compatible with Windows and Android, the controller has Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, remappable L4 and R4 bumper buttons, and is available in pretty colors.

Like the Ultimate 2, the Ultimate 2C is also available in Bluetooth and Wireless editions. The Bluetooth version is currently listed as not available on Amazon but the wireless version is available for $23.99, 20% off its list price of $29.99.

8BitDo Retro R8 Mouse

It is not just controllers that are on sale. Amazon has also slashed the price on 8BitDo's desktop accessories. The Retro R8 Mouse is available to buy now for $39.99 instead of $49.99 while the Retro R8 Mouse Xbox Edition is available to buy for $49.99, $10 off its list price.

Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard Xbox Edition

8BitDo just announced a Mecha Break edition of its Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard, but while that one isn't on sale, the Xbox Edition that launched in 2024 has a Prime Day Deal. The keyboard which originally sells for $119.99 is now available for $99.99. The keyboard has Kailh Jellyfish X switches, RGB backlight, and a battery that can provide up to 300 hours of use in Bluetooth mode. The keyboard can also be connected in wired mode or 2.4GHz wireless mode and comes with two Super AB buttons.

8BitDo 18 Key Retro Mechanical Numpad

If you already have 8BitDo's Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard, then you know it doesn't have a dedicated numpad. However, the manufacturer sells one and not only does it provide you with a dedicated numpad but it can also work as a standalone calculator as it has an integrated screen. Thanks to Amazon's Prime Day festival, the 8BitDo 18 Key Retro Mechanical Numpad can now be purchased for $34.38 instead of $44.99.
