Ayaneo has now brought its long-awaited third mini-PC release to Indiegogo. Announced over a year ago, the AM01S follows the AM01 and AM02 (curr. $599 on Amazon). Despite its name, the AM01S is more powerful than the AM02. However, that is not true in all instances.
For context, the AM02 is now only available with AMD's Ryzen 7 8845HS. By contrast the AM01S starts with the Ryzen 7 8745HS, which trails the Ryzen 7 8845HS by about 7% in our benchmarks. By contrast, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with which Ayaneo also offers the AM01S surpasses the Ryzen 7 8845HS in CPU and GPU tasks.
Setting that aside, all AM01S variants feature a 4-inch and 960 x 400 touchscreen display, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Seemingly, Ryzen 7 8745HS and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 variants differ when it comes to their secondary SSD options. Unfortunately, Ayaneo's Indiegogo campaign page does not provide any clarity in this regard.
The AM01S starts at $349 without RAM or storage and a Ryzen 7 8745HS APU. Meanwhile, Ayaneo charges $639 for a barebones unit with the more powerful Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Prices reach $999 on Indiegogo for the B.Duck variant with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage, though. Currently, Ayaneo hopes to begin shipping initial units in November, 2025.
