Ayaneo refreshes AM01 and AM02 mini-PCs with lower prices after teasing Ayaneo 3 gaming handheld
Ayaneo has freshened up its mini-PC series, over five months after showcasing the AM01S. Unfortunately, the company has not shared any new information about that device since. Instead, it has re-released the existing AM01 and AM02 (curr. $708.95 on Amazon), the former of which it refreshed with AMD Ryzen 7 5800U SKUs in March.
This time, it has upgraded the AM01 to the Ryzen 7 5825U, which enjoys an 8% performance advantage in our benchmarks over the Ryzen 7 5800U. The pair feature the same Radeon RX Vega 8 iGPU as each other, though. In other words, the new AM01 should perform just as well in games as existing Ryzen 7 5800U-powered units.
It is a similar story for the Ryzen 7 8845HS with which the AM02 is now available. Ultimately, few practical differences exist between the Ryzen 7 8845HS and Ryzen 7 7840HS, other than the former's 10 W higher TDP. Ultimately, the benefit of these new models is their lower prices, which are substantially less than the AM01 and AM02 that were previously available. As it stands, Ayaneo is selling the pair for the following prices and memory configurations:
- AM01: AMD Ryzen 7 5825U/32 GB RAM/512 GB SSD - $359
- AM02: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS/16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD - $529
- AM02: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS/32 GB RAM/1 TB SSD - $629
