GPD has finally confirmed the official release date for its next gaming handheld, almost two months after early details about the same device surfaced online. For context, the company has been steadily offering up teasers about the GPD Win 5 for about a month.
Now, it has quietly listed the handheld's release date on its website, evidence of which we have embedded below. As The Phawx suggested last month, the GPD Win 5 will launch in October. Specifically, GPD is targeting October 17, 2025.
At this stage, it is unclear whether the device will head straight to GPD's store. Typically, GPD funds production through crowdfunding websites like Indiegogo. Regardless, GPD's store listing does not mention pricing.
With that being said, Bilibili influencer MuBus implies that the Win 5 could start for around $1,500 to undercut the equivalently powerful Asus ROG Flow Z13 (curr. $2,269 on Amazon) by a wide margin. While GPD warns that pricing is not official yet, it has reposted MuBus' views that the Win 5 will start at approximately CNY 9,999 (~$1,393) with a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 32 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, a 64 GB variant should come in at CNY 11,999 (~$1,671). Please see the video below for more information about GPD's long-awaited Win 4 successor.
