Xbox Game Pass: 5 new games this week – including a brand-new adventure that puts players in the role of a herd leader
Last week, Xbox Game Pass subscribers got three new games. This week, Microsoft is adding five more. Blacksmith Master and Void/Breaker arrived on August 19, with the remaining titles rolling out on August 20 and 21. From management sims and shooters to quirky sandbox games and JRPGs, there’s something for almost every taste. The clear standout, however, is Herdling. Launching day one on Game Pass, this unique adventure lets players guide a herd of fantasy creatures from a third-person perspective, wrapped in a visual style reminiscent of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Blacksmith Master - August 19 (PC)
Blacksmith Master is a medieval-themed management sim that puts players in charge of their own forge. Tasks range from mining ore and crafting weapons to selling tools and household goods. As the game progresses, players can automate workflows, expand and customize their workshop, and build a strong reputation in the local market.
Void/Breaker - August 19 (PC)
Void/Breaker is a fast-paced roguelite FPS that drops players into a relentless, AI-controlled time loop. With extensive weapon customization, countless loadouts can be tailored to fit any playstyle. Levels are procedurally generated, and fully destructible environments let players reshape the battlefield to gain the upper hand.
Goat Simulator Remastered - August 20 (Xbox Series X/S)
This off-the-wall sandbox game puts players in the hooves of Pilgor the goat, with one simple goal: cause as much chaos as possible. Goat Simulator Remastered delivers mayhem through headbutts, flips and wildly exaggerated ragdoll physics. The remastered edition features upgraded visuals, all previously released DLCs and a new Mutator menu that lets players customize their goat’s abilities for even more absurd fun.
Persona 4 Golden - August 20 (PC, console and cloud)
Persona 4 Golden is a fan-favorite entry in the acclaimed Persona series, blending classic RPG mechanics with everyday life simulation. Players take on the role of a student who moves to the quiet town of Inaba, attending school, making friends and living a seemingly normal life – while secretly battling monsters in a mysterious TV world to uncover the truth behind a string of murders.
