Now available in North America: Asus releases new dual-screen laptop with Intel Panther Lake and 144 Hz OLED displays

Asus has finally expanded the availability of its latest Zenbook Duo to North America. For context, the company presented its latest dual-screen Zenbook in January 2026 during CES 2026. While it confirmed most technical details about the new Zenbook Duo, it refrained from confirming pricing or availability in any capacity.
Nonetheless, it took Asus less than a week to release the laptop in Europe. Now, the company has started multiple SKUs in North America with a second to follow in the US. Specifically, Asus has opened pre-orders for the Zenbook Duo (UX8407) for $2,499 in the US with the Core Ultra 9 386H, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
Meanwhile, Canada has received a Core Ultra 7 355 version for CAD 3,799 (~$2,775) with the same memory configuration. Asus plans to sell a Core Ultra X9 388H SKU in both markets too, although it has not confirmed when yet. In the meantime, the company has revealed it will charge CAD 200/$200 more for this processor while retaining the same memory configuration.
For reference, all versions contain around 30% larger battery capacities than last year's Zenbook Duo (curr. $2,099 on Amazon). Also, Asus Zenbook complements this 99 Wh combined capacity with a pair of 144 Hz OLED displays that operate at 2.8K (2,880 x 1,880) and 500 nits each or 1,000 nits in HDR mode. Please see Asus' website for more details about the new Zenbook Duo, as well as our detailed review from earlier this year.
