Klumpen adds solar, shower, satellite internet and much more to off-grid housing

Designing a house completely independent of the water and electricity grid can be challenging. The architecture duo from Himmelfahrtskommando now want to make life without a grid easy. If the Klumpen off-grid core is placed next to a small house, it should supply the house with everything it needs to live.
The tent-shaped structure has an edge length of 2 meters and a height of 4.85 meters. The walls are fitted with photovoltaic panels. This energy is stored in three batteries with a total capacity of 7.5 kWh. Finally, the battery operates the other features of Klumpen, including a mobile phone modem and satellite broadband connection, so that a fast Internet connection should also be possible in remote locations.
Inside Klumpen there is a small kitchen with two hobs, a toaster, a dishwasher, a sink and a microwave ($79 on Amazon). The shower in the middle provides water at a temperature of up to 60 °C. There is even a washing machine and a toilet as standard. Klumpen has both a fresh water tank and a waste water tank. The water from the shower is filtered and used to flush the toilet.
