Minisforum has confirmed initial details about a high-end new mini-PC. Launching as the MS-03, the mini-PC packs a powerful 16-core processor within a tiny housing that spans just 195 x 195 x 42.5 mm.

Minisforum has confirmed that it has another Intel Panther Lake-based mini-PC in development. To recap, the company is on the verge of launching the M2 Pro with Intel's Core Ultra X9 388H processor. Now, the MS-03 can be added to Minisforum's increasing list of unreleased mini-PCs.

The MS-03 will replace the MS-01, with Minisforum having decided against releasing an MS-02 to rival the MS-02 Ultra (curr. $1,159.99 on Amazon). The MS-01 arrived in December 2023 before being refreshed about six months later. Nonetheless, it seems that the MS-03 retains its predecessor's overall design with a minimal black housing punctuated by a wide fan grille.

The MS-03 also measures 195 x 195 x 43.5 mm. Moreover, Minisforum has revealed that the MS-03 will be available with up to a Core Ultra 7 356H processor boasting a 70 W TDP. While we have only tested this processor running at 25 W, its 16 cores and 1.8 nm manufacturing process should help the MS-03 run more efficiently and more powerfully than the Core i5-12600H, Core i9-12900H or Core i9-13900H with which the MS-01 was available. Minisforum has not confirmed pricing or availability yet.
