New Xiaomi robot vacuum with roller mop launches

Xiaomi has released the Mi Home Robot Vacuum 6 Max in China. This model is described as relatively powerful, offering a range of more advanced cleaning functions compared to older robot vacuums from the brand.
The Mi Home Robot Vacuum 6 Max delivers up to 35,000 Pa suction power, matching the likes of the Roborock Saros 20. It has three brushes, a central roller brush and two side brushes, to pick up dirt and debris. For mopping, the model features a roller mop alongside an extending mop head to enhance its performance. The roller mop gets fresh water from 16 outlets, and dirty water is collected inside the robot to prevent it from spreading across the floor.
Another feature of the Xiaomi Mi Home Robot Vacuum 6 Max is its climbing chassis, with dual mechanical legs allowing it to climb over obstacles up to 6 cm (~2.4 inches) tall. This model has a slim body, measuring 9.3 cm (~3.7 inches) off the ground, allowing it to clean under many items of furniture. Its AI technology is said to detect 280 types of obstacles to avoid, and distinguish between 47 types of dirt so it can adjust the cleaning strategy as needed. At the accompanying docking station, the onboard dustbin is emptied, and the mops are washed with 85°C (~185°F) hot water. Plus, it supports Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, with remote controls via the brand’s app or voice assistant.
In China, the Xiaomi Mi Home Robot Vacuum 6 Max starts from CNY 6,999 (~$1,020) for the cheaper water tank version. Whether or when a version of this robot vacuum and mop could be released in Europe remains to be seen. In this market, it would join older models like the Robot Vacuum X20 Max (curr. €399.99 at Amazon DE).
