New Xiaomi smart air conditioner with optional mmWave accessory arrives

Xiaomi has launched the new Mi Home Central Air Conditioner (6HP, Super Level 1 Energy Efficiency) in China. This new smart home device can deliver both heating and cooling, with a range of premium features.
The new Xiaomi Mi Home Central Air Conditioner uses a dual-cylinder compressor with gas injection, allowing it to operate in a particularly wide temperature range of -28°C to 65°C (~-18°F to 149°F). It is also said to be relatively energy efficient, with an annual performance factor (APF) of 5.75 and a Level 1 energy efficiency rating in China.
Customers can choose between several smart upgrades for the Mi Home Central Air Conditioner. These include the Mi Home Intelligent Sensing Fan Panel, which has integrated mmWave radar sensors to detect room occupants and intelligently adjust its settings accordingly. The Mi Home Central Air Conditioner Health Filter is said to remove over 99% of formaldehyde for improved air quality. Plus, the Xiaomi Smart Air Management Panel can be used to connect the device to other compatible smart home products. The model offers two other smart features: intelligent 56°C (~133°F) self-cleaning and AI-powered health check-ups, which should diagnose clogs, low refrigerant levels and other hardware or software issues.
In China, the Xiaomi Mi Home Central Air Conditioner (6HP, Super Level 1 Energy Efficiency) starts from CNY 25,999 (~$3,762). While the company already sells some smart air conditioners in Europe, like Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 2.6 kW (curr €599 at Mi Store ES), it is unclear whether or not this product will also be brought to other markets.
