Xiaomi launches new energy-efficient smart air conditioner

The Xiaomi Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Pro (Super Energy Efficiency Level 1) is now available to pre-order in China. It builds on the older Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving model, with several upgrades.
Xiaomi’s new smart air conditioner is said to be particularly energy efficient compared to the standard model. It has a higher Annual Performance Factor (APF) of 5.31. Plus, the device’s AI-powered energy-saving algorithm is said to reduce power consumption by up to 45%, another improvement over the older model.
The Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Pro is a floor-standing unit which offers vertical and horizontal air flow. The 120 mm cross-flow fan blades deliver a 1,760 m³/h airflow rate to quickly cool or heat your room. The appliance covers a distance of up to 13 m, with a 115° wide-angle outlet. Smart features include support for HyperOS Connect, allowing it to connect to other Xiaomi smart home devices, and remote app-based controls.
In China, the 3HP version of the Xiaomi Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Pro (Super Energy Efficiency Level 1) retails for CNY 6,699 (~$975). It is unlikely that this model will be released in other markets like Europe, where the company already sells the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 3.5 kW (curr. €699 at Xiaomi Store ES).
