Xiaomi reveals new upgraded version of smart air conditioner

Xiaomi has launched the new Mi Home Air Conditioner Ultra Energy-Saving Pro 1.5 HP in China. Arriving alongside a less powerful 1 HP variant, this 2026 version of the smart home device offers various
upgrades over the 2025 model.
The 2026 Xiaomi Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Pro 1.5 HP has a higher air flow rate of 900 m³/h with vertical and horizontal air flow for wider room coverage. The maximum cooling and heating capacities are greater, and the annual performance factor (APF) has increased from 5.65 to 6.30. This model has a large double-row condenser and evaporator, and has a Level 1 energy efficiency rating in China. Plus, it can run quietly, producing 16 dBA noise, making it suitable for use in a bedroom.
Smart features of the 2026 Xiaomi Mi Home Air Conditioner include support for HyperOS Connect. This allows it to integrate with many of the brand’s other smart home products and be remotely controlled via the Xiaomi app. Here, users can receive alerts when the filter is clogged and push over-the-air updates to the appliance. The model is said to come with an energy saving algorithm and a self-cleaning function for both the indoor and outdoor units. On top of this, there is a built-in display showing the temperature and connectivity status.
In China, the Xiaomi Mi Home Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Pro 1.5 HP retails for CNY 3,199 (~$464). It is unclear whether or when this model could be released in other markets like Europe, where the brand already sells products like the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 2.6 kW (curr. €599 at Xiaomi Store ES).
