Epson launches new home theater projector app

Epson has officially announced a new Projection Studio app for users of its home theater projectors. The new software is already available for iOS and Android users.
The Epson Projection Studio app is designed for guests at a birthday party, a wedding or another social occasion to share photos with each other in real time. The party host can remotely build the video, as well as remotely control the projector, from their phone.
The organizer can also use Epson’s Projection Studio app to select which photos are included and in what order, and add background music or a frame to suit the mood. They also have basic controls like play/pause, skip and back, for full control over the slideshow. Guests are invited to share photos and add an emoji or a comment bubble to other pictures for an interactive experience. Plus, a highlight reel can easily be shared with friends and family.
According to a recent press release, the Epson Projection Studio app will officially launch in May 2026. This could point to additional features or a wider rollout, though it is already available in countries including the US, the UK and Germany. It is expected to be compatible with all of the Epson Lifestudio projectors, including the Flex Plus (EF-72) (curr. $949.99 at Amazon).
