BenQ launches new brighter short throw projector with Golf Mode

BenQ has released the LH860ST, a short throw projector for golf and sports simulators. Designed to fit in small spaces, this model is ideal for floor-mounted setups, though it can also be mounted to the ceiling.
The BenQ LH860ST is a 1080p (1920 x 1080 px) projector with a 3,000,000:1 FOFO contrast ratio and 93% coverage of the Rec. 709 color gamut. The model has a 0.5:1 short throw ratio, making it suitable for smaller spaces, and it can throw images up to 200 inches wide. While it has a native 16:9 aspect ratio, the Screen Fill tool is an easy way to switch between other ratios without screen distortion.
BenQ’s LH860ST has a laser light source generating up to 5,000 ANSI lumens brightness; this makes it relatively bright for this kind of projector. Image-perfecting tools include 2D keystone adjustment, and there are preset color modes like Simultation, Bright and HDR10. The projector has an integrated 10W speaker and ports like HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort and USB-A. Plus, an optional BenQ QP30 dongle enables wireless projection at 1080p@60Hz, with support for 4K@30Hz upscaling.
In the US, the BenQ LH860ST Short Throw Laser Golf Projector can be purchased directly from the brand for $2,399. It can also be purchased at specialist retailers in other countries. For example, it is available in the UK for £2,486.81 at AV Parts Master, and in Germany at MediaMarkt for €3,293.75.
