New TCL P7L TV with AI Gaming Agent launching globally

The TCL P7L Premium QLED TV has been confirmed for global release. This new model has appeared alongside the P8L Premium QD-Mini LED TV, though it is expected to be the cheaper of the two devices based on its model name. It will be offered in the following six sizes: 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch.
TCL’s P7L is a 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160 px) LCD TV with a native 60 Hz refresh rate. It uses an HVA panel, and its upgraded Colorful Quantum Crystal material is said to provide 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and high light efficiency. There is support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG, and up to 400 nits typical brightness across the five smaller sizes, and up to 450 nits for the range-topping 85-inch version.
The P7L uses TCL’s AiPQ Processor and is marketed with AI features like the AI Cinematic Agent and the AI Gaming Agent with Gamebar. It uses Google TV, bringing a range of streaming apps alongside support for Google Assistant and Google Cast. It is also compatible with Miracast and Apple AirPlay 2, with connectivity options including Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 5 and an HDMI 2.1 (eARC) port. Plus, there are integrated Onkyo speakers, with 2.0 channel systems for the 43-inch to 75-inch sizes, and a 2.1 channel system for the 85-inch model. Each version has a slim, unibody frame with a bezel-less look.
It is unclear when the TCL P7L Premium QLED TV will be released, and at what price. Despite its ‘Premium’ name, it is expected to be a relatively affordable option from the company. This model will certainly be available in Europe, as it is listed on the brand’s dedicated website for this region. In the meantime, you could consider the older TCL P7K TV (43-inch curr. $349.99 at Amazon Marketplace).
